About us
Alex Willis: Owner and Craftsman
Alex Willis is a mason, landscaper, painter, and father based in Estes Park, Colorado. He is passionate about the art of building structures and believes in the philosophy of creating timeless pieces that evoke depth and meaning for those who experience them.
Alex is first and foremost a creative soul with a love for art. So in a time when construction has accelerated rapidly in the Front Range for over a decade, Alex has been critical of the quick, cheap, and ultimately less durable style of construction that has become the norm in our world. His life-long dream is to transform the construction industry into next-generation ideas of sustainability, durability, and technology to create monuments that stand the long march of time. He began his construction experience after he quit an engineering job to become an apprentice mason with his father, who is a master tile mason and carpenter. During his apprenticeship, he built multiple wet and dry masonry structures as well as wood garden structures which helped the functionality of the land he was working on.
During his work, Alex came to appreciate the precision and reverence for creation that construction requires of him. In his downtime, he began a lifelong love of ancient architecture and studying building techniques from across space and time to add to his arsenal.
His true passion for the art of building structures and maintaining the integrity of existing homes shows through in the extra mile he is willing to go to ensure that a project is not only done to the specifications of the client, but exceeding their expectations. With all of the projects he has done since his time as an apprentice, he has proven himself to be a reliable, communicative, and considerate man to hire for your project.
Holly Rae Hunt: Owner and Office Manager
Holly comes from a long line of men and women in the construction industry and excels at professionalism and customer service. A family motto that she employs in both her personal and business life is “Do it right the first time or don’t do it at all,” which reflects her fastidiousness and dedication to achieving high standards. Sharing Alex’s reverence for timeless building styles, Holly also believes in preserving traditions of building things that are meant to last. Thinking not only about the present, but the generations ahead that will inherit what we have built here on Earth is what drives Holly to run the behind the scenes of Willis Constriction so Alex can build for you. She also handles hiring and HR duties.
